Well Done to Deirdre MacKinnon for getting another of her photos published in the Inverness Courier, this time of The Old Man of Storr, taken on a recent outing with other club members to Skye

On the 6th of April, 7 intrepid members of the Great Glen Camera Club +1 from South Skye club set off at an unearthly hour to photograph first light on the old man of Storr. There then followed a hearty breakfast in Portree, followed by more great locations on the island. Have a look at the gallery to see more of the days results.

Well done to Deirdre MacKinnon for getting yet another of her photos published in the Inverness Courier, this time of Ice shards on Loch Morlich, taken on a recent outing with other club members to Speyside. So how about some others offering their photos to the Courier, to challenge Deirdre's position of most published club member?

An excellent evening of photogrpahy by Ian Cameron of Transient Light was enjoyed by a mixture of club members and non members last night (5th December). Many thanks to Ian for his presentation, and also to the Scots Kitchen for providing the venue and staff. See Iain's work at.

Club member Ken Brown has had his photograph of a wintery scene on the summit of Blaven in the Cuillin published as a Xmas card by the Scottish Wild Land Group. Well done Ken.

Well done to Deirdre MacKinnon for getting her photo "On Guard" featured in the Inverness Courier. This was taken on the club's photo safari on the 11th of November.

If you haven't got your camera club calendar yet they will be on sale at the Invergarry Craft Fayre at Invergarry Village Hall on Saturday, 1st of December.

We had a great impromptu field day on Sunday (11th) with 6 club members heading up Glengarry for sunrise to photograph the red deer stags. We all got some great shots then headed back to the Fort for a coffee at the Scots kitchen, before looking for waxwings.

The Great Glen Camera Club Calendar is currently going to print and will be available to purchase at the beginning of November We will be taking a stall at the Invermoriston Craft Fayre on the 3rd of November, where it will be available for sale. Cost this is year 6.00 each or 5.00 for two or more.

At the Glenmoriston Craft Fair on Saturday we sold 37 calendars and 2 prints. Well done and a big thanks to Jane, Linda & Deirdre for their efforts. Don't forget to order your own copies as they are going fast (Thanks to Deirdre's super sales tactics)
